Swatch & Review: Colors by Llarowe Independence Day

    Today I have Colors by Llarowe Independence Day to show you. It was recently released in their Summer 2014 collection. It’s described as having a “deep royal blue jelly base with holographic micro glitters.“

    Unfortunately, I was kind of underwhelmed by this polish. From the swatch photos that I saw, I thought that it would have a glowy, gorgeous holo à la CbL’s The Mighty Red Baron. Shown is two coats with one coat of top coat.

    Unfulfilled expectations notwithstanding, Independence Day is still a pretty polish in it’s own right. It applies easily, and as you an see is perfectly opaque in two coats. In indirect light, the holo micro glitters lend a pretty holo glow that I caught myself being distracted by quite a few times.

    As always, this manicure was done with my favourite base coat* and sealed off with a high shine, quick drying top coat* for a super long-lasting, gorgeous at-home manicure.
