Today, I’ve got my first KBShimmer polish to show you! This is Shipwreck, a sheer teal jelly FULL of different sizes and colours of glitter. You can see the amazingness of this glitter in my macro below š

I decided to give it try and I found the formula pretty sheer. Initially, I was quite disappointed as I didn’t have the right base colour to layer over. However, I wasn’t ready to give up on it just yet.
After the 4th coat, I still saw a visible nail line underneath, but I could see the potential that awaited me if I had a navy blue or black colour to layer over. I knew it would make the glitter pop so much more.
Despite this, I was impressed with how easily the formula applied and how well the glitter was distributed in the multiple coats. What I didn’t like was the gritty texture of the polish, so to ensure a smooth finish, I used a thick layer of an old topcoat before applying my usual Essie Good to Go.
All-in-all, I came out loving this polish and highly recommend it! If you don’t have a similar colour layer to apply underneath the polish then I think it’s so worth layering the coats on!
What do you girls think? Are you a fan of KBShimmer?

This is so pretty! I usually don't like VNL, but for some reason I'm really loving it with this one, it suits the jelly look quite well. I've heard amazing things about KBShimmer but haven't tried them yet…I think that needs to change soon, lol š
