Hey babes!
I saw a wee little post on AsianBeauty about a BRAND NEW Asian cosmetic store opening here in Auckland! So of COURSE I had to check it out (and maybe buy a little something…)
Honestly, they have a really great range of brands – Tony Moly, Too Cool For School, Banila Co, C20 Serum (I was very impressed they had this!) and SO much more. Different members of staff came to approach me multiple times – I frankly wasn’t bothered at all, but I could tell they were a little worried that I didn’t know any of the product cause I don’t look Asian!
They were all extremely friendly and gave me heaps of product recommendations – so if you pop in, don’t be afraid to ask if you’re not sure what you’re looking for or if you just want to try something new! Not going to lie, I generally have less than stellar experiences in other Asian cosmetic stores. I’m not sure if perhaps it’s a language thing or an assumption that I won’t buy anything as I’m not obviously Asian.
I saw the Papa Recipe Bombee mask and I KNEW I wasn’t walking out without that – it was NZ $25 for a box of 10, which I felt was pretty reasonable since it’s US $30 on WishTrend and even more expensive on eBay. I grabbed the Tony Moly and MediHeal masks out of curiosity/recommendation. I’ll be posting full reviews of all these products, so keep an eye out for that!
The Cosmetic Store’s address is at 10 Victoria Street East – it’s on top of LookSharp, and directly across from Starbucks. The entrance is just to the right of LookSharp.
